Jinghong Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Research Institute has announced a new initiative in nanofiber materials, aiming to bring this cutting-edge technology into wider environmental, medical, and industrial use.
Nanofiber: Lightweight, Efficient, and Versatile
Nanofibers feature high porosity, excellent breathability, low resistance, and strong filtration efficiency. These qualities make them ideal for use as filtration media, protective barriers, biomedical materials, skincare products, and functional fabrics.
Practical applications include air filtration, wastewater treatment, seawater desalination, battery separators, automotive components, protective clothing, sound insulation, thermal insulation, and oil absorption.
Partnership with Nayi Environmental Technology
To advance industrialization, Jinghong has partnered with Jiangsu Nayi Environmental Technology Co., Ltd.
-
Their nanofibers measure just 1–100 nanometers in diameter, far smaller than conventional fibers (5,000–50,000 nanometers).
-
With a large surface area and enhanced physical-chemical properties, these fibers retain raw material stability while offering superior performance.
-
Nayi brings 20 years of expertise, a high-level R&D team, and independent IP in nanofiber production lines, preparation processes, and application technologies.
From Research to Industrial Solutions
Nanofiber mass production is a challenge worldwide, with only a few companies achieving it. Nayi’s advanced facilities make it possible to supply materials with antibacterial effects, pollutant and particle blocking, and high breathability, supporting downstream processing for multiple industries.
Current Products Include:
-
Nanofilm Evaporators – Hydrophobic nanomembranes for gas-liquid separation, applied in drinking water purification, ultrapure water production, concentration processes, and high-salinity wastewater treatment.
-
Nanoplate Membrane Filtration – Durable nanopolymer membranes resistant to acids, alkalis, and fouling. Their 3D porous design ensures high flux with low energy use, cutting treatment costs and land requirements.
-
Nanomembrane Bioreactors (MBR) – Replacing sedimentation tanks with membranes to double or triple treatment capacity, reduce sludge, and improve effluent quality. Used in municipal upgrades, mobile sewage units, landfill leachate treatment, and river restoration.
-
Air Filtration and Personal Protection – Nanofiber membranes provide long-lasting filtration of exhaust gases, chemical vapors, oily particles, and fine dust, enabling products like protective masks, air filters, and window screens.
Supporting China’s Dual Carbon Goals
As China moves toward its carbon peak and carbon neutrality (“dual carbon”) targets, Jinghong Research Institute emphasizes that nanofiber technology will play a key role in sustainable development.
“Nanofiber materials are not only a technological breakthrough but also a powerful driver for clean industries and a greener future,” said a spokesperson from Jinghong Research Institute.
